This POST is dedicated to my daughter, Kathryn Pekarik, as she fights the ugly beast called cancer. You talk about a will to win and the strength to endure the days of being sick and the constant in and out of hospitals and I will show you my beautiful daughter.
As I was sitting here just contemplating what tomorrow may bring, I was going through documents on my computer. I save things that I think “one day” I am going to read or use or send. Anyway, I came across this and would like to just post it to pass it on.
I believe a quality that’s important for all of us to acquire (if we don’t already have it) is a “will to win.” You can’t defeat a will to win.
Show me a man or woman who is totally obsessed with being somebody, and I’ll show you a person who can figure out a way to win.
It doesn’t really matter how high the odds are stacked against them, and it doesn’t matter how long or how hard they have to work to get there. Show me someone that wants it so bad he can’t sleep at night, and I’ll show you a person who’s going to go out there and become a success.
Many people have been so beat up in their lives by the companies they work for and by people they know, that they’ve become cynical about everything. They think that everybody is out to get them, and they lose their ability to trust. Those kinds of people have a lot of difficulty winning.
But show me someone who is willing to go out there and take a chance, willing to dream, and willing to pay the price, and I’ll show you a person who can do something great and become a success, in this free enterprise system!
Celebrating your success.
Personal appearance in the work place is just as important for the corporate executive as it is for the home based business entrepreneur. A positive business attitude is just as important as your appearance.
It is absolutely wonder having a home based business, but keeping up with your personal appearance while working from home is just as important as it is for the executive who commutes to a high rise office building and gets the predetermined check that his/her employer believes they are worth. Not so with the home based entrepreneur like us as WE determine the amount of money we will make!
Ok, back to why it is important to keep up your personal appearance even if nobody is seeing you but you!
Most of us rarely walk out the door in the morning without taking a quick physical inventory of themselves in the mirror: shirt properly tucked in-check, matching heels-check, smooth shave-check, makeup that is neither reminiscent of circus clowns or dramatic theater-check; as creatures, we humans understand that our outer appearance needs to conform, at least somewhat, to the outside world’s standards.
