DOUG WEAD JOINS XANGO!Doug Wead is a Presidential historian, New York Times bestselling author and advisor to two presidents. He served as special assistant to the president in the George Herbert Walker Bush White House. In 1979 he co-founded Mercy Corps and the International Charity Awards.I met Mr. Doug Wead for the first time a couple months ago in Greesboro, NC at a XanGo Conference. Most of you may know him as the famous author and advisor to a few presidents...but I know him as the greatest stand up comedian I have seen in quite awhile. Really no kidding! I was born and raised in Chicago and grew up going to Second City and always enjoy a great laugh. Especially when the laugh is just about every day normal things that can really be funny when looked at with a different point of view. I am not sure if Mr. Wead would even like to be known as a comedian, but this man of integrity and heart has a way of pulling you in and touching your heart while teaching you. Now that is a gift. Thank God my husband wore a black shirt that day because I was without tissues and I was laughing so hard that I was crying and the mascara was burning my eyes and running down my face. Doug Wead has impeccable timing. Now I am not sure if this is the best comparison, but if Doug Wead and John Godzich could take this show on the road...I think they would be the next Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.
