Several years ago Sherman Unkefer owned two banks, but he left banking to go full time in Network Marketing. I recently asked a friend if they would be interested in keeping more of their paycheck if they had a part time home based business? I explained say for example what if you could keep forever starting right now an extra 100 dollars a week or 5 thousand dollars a year of your paycheck that the IRS would normally take? Their reply shocked me! “You don’t understand I’m not worried about what the government takes because they give me a great bargain and I get a huge refund at the end of the year!” I didn’t know whether to cry or just scream! What kind of a bargain is that! They take HALF your paycheck lets say 17 thousand a year then say oh sorry we took 2 thousand too much and you get 2 thousand dollars back that was yours anyway and without interest. That’s NOT a great bargain! You just got Flim Flammed my friend. I think it all starts when we are kids and get that first summer job making an hourly wage. We can’t wait to cash that check and have some fun. Then out of the blue the government sends us a tax refund a year later for 3 or 4 hundred bucks! Wow Free money! But what actually happened is they did some kind of weird mystic Voo Doo Mojo mind trick! Many accept this cruel opiate and forever become sheep for the slaughter others lie and cheat on their taxes forever in fear of the dark cloud of the IRS looming over their heads. Believe It or Not! OK, it’s not all gloom and doom I’ve got some GREAT news that you CAN BELIEVE for sure! There are some sensible men and women in Congress who said “Hey! It’s not good for the country for people to be unemployed, why don’t we offer tax breaks to individuals who want to supplement their incomes with a home based business!” I’m talking about legitimate, legal super easy to understand TAX BREAKS not loopholes! I didn't want to do it! But I did. Then I was glad that I did!  Unfortunately, people sometimes mislabel network marketing as a dirty industry, one where people are money hungry and shameless. However, if we really examine what is at the core of network marketing, nothing could be further from the truth. Rare is the industry in which your job description includes taking someone out to lunch just to hear about their dreams. Yet every successful networker has done it. You know how these luncheons typically unfold: You choose your favorite lunch spot—one that is not too noisy so that conversation is easy and natural. You recommend your favorite dish to your lunch date, and then you pop the question—the dream question. What are their goals? What would they like to expect from their life in 5, 10, and 20 years? The more descriptive our lunch date and the longer they can babble on about their desires, the more you encourage them to take it even one step further. Your interest is genuine. Once they have painted a vivid image of what they want out of life, you say “Let’s see how we can make this happen!” For the first time in years, you’ve restored their hope in long lost dreams. Rather than being portrayed as selfish and shameless, networkers should be depicted as genies. Yes! I did say genies!  What is Network Marketing? Network marketing or MLM shouldn't be confused with pyramid selling. Network marketing is literally marketing products through a network of people. This form of distribution is word of mouth or recommendation. Have you ever gathered with your friends and recommended a great movie, a fantastic restaurant or a favorite book? Did you ever get paid for recommending that particular movie, restaurant or book? Well, with network marketing you can and make a substantial income, creating financial freedom and security. Network marketing is an intellectual form of distribution and unlike retailing, the distributors are often very knowledgeable about the products. Large businesses can be built by sponsoring people and teaching them to sponsor. MLM means multi-level marketing and refers to the different levels of compensation provided by the company. By the 1990's more than $100 billion worth of products were being distributed through multi-level marketing, and that figure is growing rapidly. The success of a network marketing business is based upon the distribution of products. This can be through purchases for yourself, retailing to customers, or sponsoring others to purchase wholesale. By teaching your distributors to sponsor, you can help them build a business for themselves by teaching them to teach others to do the same. High quality, consumable products with a good compensation plan will provide a sound basis for a successful network marketing business. Why Network Marketing is Becoming So Popular. It used to be that people got a job, and probably stayed in that company for life working their way up to the top positions of the company. Nowadays people feel more insecure in their jobs and worry about being made redundant. With inflation and the rising cost of living, pensions don't go very far and some don’t even receive pensions. Network marketing provides an opportunity to create a residual income for life. It can be fit in around a full time job, and requires no qualifications. There's no discrimination against age or sex, and there is the potential for financial freedom. Usually there is a minimal start up fee, and with no need to stock up on goods, which makes this a “no risk investment.” The only real investment is your time and perseverance to make it work. Network marketing has enormous potential; especially now because with the internet you are no longer geographically limited. More and more people are choosing to purchase online. Products are usually of a high quality as money isn't spent on advertising or packaging. Instead money is put into the products themselves.  Secrets to Finding Success In Network Marketing. Although you work on your own, you don't work alone. You always have your sponsor and upline to call on if you need help. Before you start any business you must have a plan. Sit down and work out a plan of action on paper. Get your sponsor to help you do this. Determine your "why." When you have a definitive "why" for what you want from creating your financial future, you are more apt to continue even when it seems like it is going a bit slow. Set yourself long term goals. How do you see yourself in five (5) years time? Where would you like to live? What car would you like to drive? Break up these goals up into short term achievable ones. Organize your tasks for each day and stick to them. A good rule of thumb is to spend about 15 minutes before you go to bed at night and look over your schedule for the following day. This way you won't get discouraged and you can see progress in your business, no matter how small. Do something each day to help build your business such as making a point of contacting two (2) people a day. If you did, you would be speaking to 14 people per week, which is 56 a month, or 672 a year. That's a lot of people!!  A really fast and great way to build your business is to work the "5 Rule." Your goal is to sponsor five (5) people, preferrably business builders and teach them to sponsor five, and then teach each of those five to sponsor five. If each person sponsors only five (5) per month, you will have 3125 in your organization at the end of five months! Network marketing really is a numbers game, the more people you talk to the more chance you have of finding prospects and ultimately big business builders. If you don't do anything then you won't get anything and your business won't grow. Even if you only sponsor one person a month into your business, by teaching them to sponsor and purchase the products wholesale you could build up a highly profitable business with huge potential. You don't need to panic at the thought of hundreds of people working in your downline and keeping in touch with them all! If you have a simple duplicatable system that's teachable to others, you can just concentrate on the new people you have sponsored. In the long run it will help your business to grow faster as people won't be put off by complicated marketing techniques.  Become a product of the product. It is vital to your business. Hand out business cards to people you meet. Listen to motivational tapes and read books. A few recommended books are "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill, anything by Jim Rohn, and "The 45 Second Presentation that will change your life" by Don Failla. Make use of your company's marketing tools, audio tapes, marketing leaflets, etc., and hand them out to people who may be interested. The audio tapes and leaflets generate an interest. Never try to sell the company or the products: only recommend. Don't try and get people to build a business if all they are interested in is buying the products wholesale. Sometimes you may find that people are just happy to purchase from you and these become your retail customers. Perseverance is needed as well as belief in yourself and the products. It's very easy to quit at something just before it starts to work. Don't ever give up!! It doesn't matter whether you are a Democrat, a Republican, a Liberal, white, black, yellow, purple, short or tall. Network marketing helps people to help people. You owe it to yourself to get the information. Educate yourself, find out, ask questions, and do your homework. Are you considering network marketing?
